In Search of a New Action Camera!

A few years ago (2018), we purchased a GoPro Hero and we love it! We've used it to capture family adventures for a few years (and the kids have fun using it too!). It's been a great camera for learning more about videography and experimenting with different types of shots. We still use our GoPro, but it's getting old, and we're ready for a new action camera! We've narrowed it down to the following two options: the GoPro Hero11 and the DJI Pocket 2.

The GoPro HERO11 Black - Waterproof Action Camera has 5.3K60 Ultra HD Video, 27MP photos, and stabilization. It features front and rear LCD screens, which is a big plus, since it lets you frame your shots perfectly. It also has a new image sensor that unleashes the tallest and widest field of view ever on a HERO camera. The result is higher image quality, better video stabilization and the flexibility to turn your footage into wide cinematic shots or extra-tall vertical shots for social posts.

The DJI Pocket 2 is pocket-sized and extremely portable. It's a tiny camera that lets you single-handedly record memorable moments and is equipped to stabilize movement and take sharp photos and smooth videos. One of the benefits of this camera is its supposed superior performance in low light.

We'll update this post when we make a decision.... In the meantime.... Have you used either of these cameras? What was your experience? Is there another camera you'd recommend instead? We'd love to hear from you!
